Farm Forestry Timbers Meeting Agenda

  • Welcome and Introduction
  • Notice of Motion:

“That this meeting -

  • Agree to set up a Farm Forestry Timbers Society which will affiliate as a Branch of NZFFA
  • Adopt the Draft Rules as circulated of the Farm Forestry Timbers Society*
  • Apply to the Registrar of Incorporated Societies for registration of the Farm Forestry Timbers Society as an incorporated society.”

Explanation:  We propose to set up a Society which will affiliate as a Branch of NZFFA as allowed for under NZFFA’s present Constitution and Rules.  This would enable people who wish to be involved in the activities of the FFT Branch/Society, but otherwise do not want to be members of NZFFA, to participate as members of FFT without being full members of NZFFA.  However, NZFFA would provide the same administration services for FFT Society-only members, as for full members of NZFFA, and for this service Society-only members would pay an administration levy to NZFFA.  Currently the Men of Trees is another organisation which is affiliated to NZFFA as a branch.

*For a copy of the Draft Rules go to or request a copy from NZFFA National Office.

  • Election of Officers:
  • Chairman
  • Secretary
  • Treasurer (or one person may serve as Secretary/Treasurer)
  • Committee Members to make up a total with the above of 6.

FFT members may submit written (including email) nominations for the above in advance of the meeting but the person nominated must signify their willingness to serve.  FFT members who will not be at the meeting but want to offer themselves for any of the above positions should contact Dean Satchell or Bruce Bulloch.
