 Veneer Grades

Here at Farm Forestry Timbers we are currently developing veneer grades in consultation with the market. We recognise that many users desire some level of feature in an otherwise plain clear veneer and our intention is to produce suitable grades with appropriate levels of feature that are desired by the market.

The photo above shows an attractive birds eye feature which caused this sliced Eucalyptus nitens veneer run to be rejected for appearance applications by the supplier. This means end-users and specifiers cannot source or select veneers with such feature - they have no choice but to select from what is dictated to them. We believe that its not for grading rules to decide what the market wants, but the market itself.

Our grading rules for veneer are currently being developed, watch this space.
