Porotermes adamsoni at Wellington

From Report to Forest Biosecurity Committee meeting 8 September 2011.

A colony of Porotermes adamsoni has been found in Wellington associated with the Wellington wharf. The colony was found during a HRSS inspection. The original infested piece of wood has been cut up and fumigated. Further inspection found further colonies at the original infestation. Containment has been recommended while further information is gathered. Recently a further colony of Porotermes adamsoni has been found at the North end of the port. Infested timbers have been fumigated.
