Trees on Farms Videos: Trees for Soil Conservation

Sheep and beef farmers in the lower half of the North Island talk about their experience with land slips and erosion, and how they have managed to break the cycle with tree planting. They preserved their grazing, held stock numbers and cut the costs of farm management; while at the same time stopped gully erosion, stabilised hillsides and cleaned up the streams and rivers that flow through their properties. The improvements have made their farms more resilient and farming less stressful, and they are quietly proud of the results.
