We have Fisc. We fund biosecurity surveillance. A universal levy benefitting all growers. More emphasis into training and labour for the industry, this benefits us all.
But where some small forest growers have taken issue is in small-grower-specific research. Are we getting a fair deal? In my view what is more important is will we get a fair deal into the future. I haven't always been happy with everything that has gone on over the last few years of the growers levy, but I am positive about the future. NZFFA are the advocacy body for the small grower and key members are working very hard on improving systems and research outcomes for the smaller forest grower.
Referendum next April.
